ISSUE #2

Why size matters, news on Septembers ‘Lucky 7’ exclusive prints, Open Studios at The Art House JT, and a new track from Harry - plus his favorite jazz playlist.

Testing and playing with scale in the studio in Santa Monica.

I like my art big. I love a giant print. A huge, sexy, print that you can stand in front of and lose yourself in. Something that takes over a space and becomes an obvious talking point. It's a strange and wonderful privilege to go into a home with a large piece of my work on the walls and watch how peoples lives play out with my work as the background.

But then again…

I like my art small. Sometimes tiny. Something that I need to pause by and take my time to examine carefully, to lean in. Smaller pieces of art can feel like a precious secret or treasure. The experience is deeply personal. Sometimes I make peep holes in walls to view my work through to increase that sense of intimacy.

And then there's the in-between.

I recently took a poll on Instagram to find out what size work you would most want in addition to the large prints and over 82% of you asked for something ‘in-between’.

So for the first time I am making my photographic prints in 2 sizes. There's the super size that you all know - and hopefully love me for, but this year I’m also producing a second larger edition* in a smaller size. Because let's be real here, not everyone has vast white walls and an unlimited budget for art.

Let’s call it the Goldilocks print. It's not too big, it's not too small, I think it's just right.

2 of the works from ‘Comeflor’* that will be available starting next week.

More details next time!

Over the last 12 months of renovating The Art House, and driving back and forth to the desert, I have clocked up some serious mileage and become a self proclaimed expert at the perfect road trip soundtrack. As a thank you for following along on this journey I have shared its latest iteration here.

(Never fear, if it's not your thing Harry will share a playlist next time!)

Enjoy!
